Dog friendly pubs in Salisbury

This aims to be a list of dog friendly pubs in Salisbury, South Wiltshire.

Finding a dog friendly pub isn't always easy so some dog owners are more likely to either leave their dogs at home or simply not visit a pub for fear of being turned away.

If you run a pub in Salisbury or have recently visited a pub where you and your pooch were welcomed then please let me know so that I can list it for other dog owners to see. You might even see me with with our dog, Suzie the greyhound

Under the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) guide dogs and assistance dogs have to be allowed into pubs but this doesn't apply to other dogs.

Most pubs will even provide a bowl of fresh water for your dog unless it fancies a pint.

Our favourite dog friendly pub is the The Avon Brewery in Castle Street.

Dog friendly update

One of our popular pubs in the city centre has recently re-opened under new management. This pub was once well known as a dog friendly pub but sadly this is no longer the case with the exception of the garden.

Personally I feel that they may have shot themselves in the foot as most people are quite tolerant of a well behaved dog.
